Seeds Of Kindness

By Georgia (Jo) Kent

“But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” Hebrews 3:13

Be beware…there’s an enemy lurking around, set out to steal, kill and destroy the JOY in your heart. Satan is the master of deceit. And he would love nothing more than to discourage you and tempt you to sin. His traps are customized to each individual, knowing their vulnerabilities and areas of weakness. We are instructed to encourage one another so that sin cannot sabotage our hearts. Fighting Satan is not a one person job! We definitely need our Christian friends.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

We all need Christian friends in our life. I don’t just mean friends who make us laugh or smile, but friends who love us unconditionally that you know will always support you with faithful prayers. Friends who will stand beside you when your were sad, sick or feel defeated. Who give a word of encouragement when your down. A pat on the back for a job well done. A friend that will take the time to send you a little hand written note that simply says, “I Love you” “Thanks” “Just because.” Whenever friends take time to show us that they care, it makes us feel as if were on top of the world and makes us believe we can accomplish anything! It’s such a wonderful feeling of encouragement to feel loved and appreciated for just being you. Know that you are not alone and that you are loved! The Father has a beautiful plan for you and those around you. Stay strong and pass along a hug and a word of encouragement to a friend today!

“My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ.” Colossians 2:2
